Alberta Golf Packages

Whether you’re travelling to Alberta on business or to see the incredible Rocky Mountains up close on vacation don’t forget your clubs because you’re in for a treat. Golfing in the shadow of these mountains is like no experience on Earth. The spectacular views, local wildlife and natural features make it very difficult to concentrate on your game. But you’ll have to, since these courses are no push over. Every club in your bag will be used while you navigate around boulders, over icy rivers, down tree-lined fairways to plush, rolling greens. After your round be sure to enjoy your favourite beverage on the deck as you breathe in fresh air and remember the wait on the 5th hole as you watched the coyote cross the fairway.

Kananaskis or ‘K Country’ is a great start to your journey and is only 60 minutes west of Calgary. Here you will find two stunning Robert Trent Jones Sr. designs at Kananakis Country GC. The Mt. Kidd and Mt. Lorette courses are both rated with 4.5 stars and are wonderful to play. If you’re able to play both in the same day then you’ve conquered two of the finest mountain courses in Canada. Yes, you’ll be tired.
Just up the road is the lovely town of Canmore, which is home to Canada’s Nordic Centre and also two outstanding courses; Silvertip, and Stewart Creek. Both are must plays and offer rolling fairways, fast greens and incredible vistas. The third course in the area is Canmore GC. This traditional-style design is a treat and its tree-lined fairways will wreak havoc on wayward tee shots. The crowned jewel in the region is the Stanley Thompson classic Banff Springs GC. This course is part of just about everyone’s bucket list and remember that the elk have the right of way on the course.
