The Senior Men's club of the Spallumcheen Golf Club had their annual Seniors Open on Friday the 7th of September. This course is in almost perfect shape. The greens were fast and the fairways were just starting to get their first coating of Autumn leaves. It was cool to start but it warmed up in the afternoon as the temperature climbed to a balmy 24 degree's. The only drawback to the day was slow play as the round exceeded 5 hours. There is no need for slow play and those golfers who had holes open in front of them should make themselves more aware that they are behind schedule…there is no excuse for slow play in a Seniors Tournament !. Aside from that, the day was very enjoyable and the after play dinner was excellent.
