BANK OF MONTREAL FUTURE LINKS PACIFIC CHAMPIONSHIP
DRAWS REGION'S TOP JUNIOR GOLFERS TO KAMLOOPS

Kamloops, B.C.. -- Some of the region's top junior golfers will go head-to-head April 13-16 in the inaugural Bank of Montreal Future Links Pacific Championship at Rivershore Estates & Golf Links in Kamloops, B.C. The Pacific Championship, the first of six events in the Future Links Junior Series season, will feature 84 of the region's top young male and female golfers in a three-day, 54-hole stroke play format. Practice rounds will be held April 13, with tournament pay beginning April 14.

Some key players to watch include:
James Lepp, Abbotsford, B.C. - national junior team member
Brooks Blackmer, Magrath, Alta. - national junior team member
Ryan Vallely of Medicine Hat, Alta. - national junior team member
Eom-Ji Park, Vancouver, B.C. - Girls Champion, 2000 Future Links Western Championship
Julianne Kim, Victoria, B.C. - Fourth at the 2000 Future Links Western Championship

Launched in 2000, the Bank of Montreal Future Links Junior Series is a national series of junior golf championships designed to develop and showcase promising junior golfers' competitive skills at an elite level. It is conducted by the Royal Canadian Golf Association, Canadian Professional Golfers' Association and Canada's provincial golf associations. The program also receives support from its official suppliers Ford Motor Company of Canada, ClubLink Corporation and Top-Flite.

The 2001 Bank of Montreal Future Links Junior Series Schedule is as follows:

April 13-16 - Pacific Championship, Rivershore Estates & Golf Links, Kamloops, B.C.

July 3-6 - Western Championship, Stony Plain Golf Course, Stony Plain, Alta.

July 23-26 - Prairie Championship, Deer Park Municipal Golf Course, Yorkton, Sask.

July 23-26 - Ontario Championship, Oliver's Nest Golf & Country Club, Lindsay, Ont.

July 30-Aug.2 - Quebec Championship, Golf Dorval, Dorval, Que.

August 6-9 - Atlantic Championship, Bell Bay Golf Club, Baddeck, N.S.
