Arizona Golf

Arizona golf courses are as diverse and spectacular as the State's famed landscape. Ranging from desert target-style courses to links courses and alpine fairways, nearly every type of terrain and difficulty level is represented here. You are sure to find a tee time that fits both your budget and your sense of adventure. There are dozens of Arizona golf courses to explore that will test golfers of any level of skill. Also include an NHL game with the Phoenix Coyotes, college football, NFL football, NBA Basketball or simply relax. There are hundreds of dining and nightlife options as well as 3-5 star resorts and multi-bedroom accommodation options too. Take the group and go! Note: In the winter, (January to April) Arizona golf courses and other warm spots are in their peak season, (highest rates) so you may need to book early. Keep in mind that during the fall (September and October) golf courses will be involved in a maintenance process called over seeding. They do not all do it at the same time but course availability and quality may be limited for 2 to 3 weeks.

Suggested Arizona golf courses

We-Ko-Pa (36 holes): There are no houses on these courses so it's just you, your ball and Mother Nature. These are tough tracks where course management skills are needed. You need to leave the driver in the bag for most of the holes since position off the tee is key rather than distance. The greens are perfect and consistent all year. A must for the discriminating golfer looking for the perfect Arizona golf vacation.

SunRidge Canyon: Here you will find 27 holes of fabulous golf. If you have the chance to play all 27 in a day then do since it's quite a collection of desert golf at it's finest. Forced carries come into play on a few holes and take one more club on the par 3's just to be safe. Long is better than short.

Troon North (36 holes): This Scottsdale 36-hole gem is an award winner and considered by many to be the finest in the State. There is not a blade of grass out of place on either course. If you're looking to end your Arizona golf package on a golf high then add these courses to your itinerary.

Tegavah: The new kid on the block. Formerly known as Vista Verde GC, this course is not even 10 years old and is already winning awards for it's stunning conditions and golf quality. You'll enjoy the mountain views and one of the best practice facilities in the area.

Pointe GC at Lookout Mountain: Located at Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort, this 18-hole course beings as a tame, open and forgiving course but by the time you hit the 8th hole the course changes design. Elevation comes into play and fairway landing zones become smaller. It's a good choice for new golfers as well as seasoned veterans. It's also home to one of the top Arizona golf academies.

Wigwam Resort: With 3 championship courses on-site, this resort is a good choice for a stay and play Arizona golf trip. All 3 courses are unique in design but are similar with lots of water and sand traps.
