Thanks to Mother Nature the golf courses in BC that typically open in late March and April are blessed with an early start. Penticton Golf & Country Club and Osoyoos GC have been open for the past 2 weeks. Two Eagles Golf Course and Academy opened this past weekend. Other courses in Kelowna such as Mission Creek and Michaelbrook Ranch are also open. Fairways & Greens - Features and Audio Profiles for 2010

BCgolfguide.com's free lancer golf and hockey writer Glen Erickson will be back this season to feature what is happening in golf for British Columbia. We will check in on the Ponderosa Golf Club, the currently closed facility that is hoping to open in late 2011 with the Greg Norman Design attached.

We will check out the new Doug Carrick "Ridge" course in August to let everyone know about another great golf addition to the Okanagan Valley. See the photo on the cover of our 2010 pocket guide (bottom of this email) for a visual preview. Glen will chat with Mike Gras, Head Professional at the Kamloops Golf and Country Club about their current renovations on the course and their slated opening in mid July.Glen will chat with Head Professional Shannon Glenesk at the Vernon Golf and Country Club as well about a special local charity event hosted at their club this summer.

We will have an audio interview with the great Walter Gretzky as he will be in Kelowna promoting the Walter Gretzky CNIB Celebrity Charity Event being held at the Kelowna Golf and Country Club August 9th. As a side note, the Kelowna G&CC in it's 90+ years of history has never hosted an outside charity event. This is sure to be the premier event of the summer in the Okanagan.
