Myrtle Beach Golf
If you’re a true golfer, then we’re sure that you’ve lost golf balls on a Myrtle Beach golf vacation at some point. That’s the exciting thing about this region, there are so many golf courses to play (over 100 within 60 miles of Myrtle Beach) that you can return each time and play another roster of golf courses. Known as the ‘Mecca’ of golf, Myrtle Beach golf is probably the most promoted golf destination in the World. Some of the courses are ranked in the ‘Top 100 Public Courses in America’ and about two dozen more are recipients of 4.5 out of 5 stars from Golf Digest. You will find warm, southern hospitality, exciting nightlife, great beaches and outlet shopping too. With hundreds of dining options, it’s no wonder why over a million golfers play Myrtle Beach golf courses each year. It’s always been a favourite for the guys but the number of golf couples and ladies groups is sharply on the rise. Your Myrtle Beach golf package can include your choice of hotels or resort with standard rooms or 1, 2 and 3 bedroom fully furnished condos.
Suggested Myrtle Beach golf courses:
Oyster Bay: part of the Legends golf group, this course should be included in your Myrtle Beach golf package. Located at the north end of Myrtle Beach, it's a wonderful design that winds through an in-land waterway. The rolling greens, quick create a challenge but you'll enjoy the design and great value.
TPC Myrtle Beach: well worth the stop. This course is always in great shape and is a true test. There are some homes on the course but they don't come into play. The greens are large and so are the fairways but accuracy is needed off the tee with plenty of water and sand traps. The par-4 10th hole is one of the best in the area.
Grande Dunes: This course doesn't get a lot of press, but play it on your next Myrtle Beach golf trip. If your driver is working well then you'll score well since distance off the tee helps on this course. Some of the par 4 holes are long (even from the white tees) and the back 9 is better than the front 9.
Barefoot Resort: there are 4 championship courses at this resort designed by Love III, Norman, Fazio and Dye. A stay and play Myrtle Beach golf package can be done right here with accommodations and great golf at the same spot.
