Las Vegas Golf
Las Vegas golf packages have never been easier and more affordable. Until a few years ago is was considered a semi-expensive place to play with most green fees ranging from $175.00 to $250.00USD. Granted, keeping Las Vegas golf courses looking green in the desert is not an easy task with water at a premium. The courses had trouble filling their tee sheets since there are quite a few things to do other than golf in Las Vegas. Also, stats show that the majority of people who travel to Las Vegas stay about 3.2 nights so taking an afternoon out of their casino, entertainment or shopping time would be tough to do. However, with the popularity of the game, slick marketing, lower rates and exceptional quality of courses, it’s no wonder Las Vegas golf packages are a natural choice for great golf for any budget. There are over 60 courses within an hour of Las Vegas so you’re never far from the Strip.
Some suggested Las Vegas golf courses to play:
Angel Park (36 holes): These 2 Arnold Palmer - designed Las Vegas golf courses are perfect for a 36-hole day. It's also a good choice for new and intermediate players too. Try the natural grass putting course and the lighted Cloud Nine short course too.
Primm Valley (36 holes): located 60 miles west of the strip on the California border, these 2 courses are a treat and worth the drive. They are the definition of desert-style design and require accurate approaches to large, rolling greens. A must add to your next Las Vegas golf package.
Bears Best: It's a unique golf course made up of 18 holes hand selected by Jack Nicklaus from his 270 designs worldwide. It is immaculate from start to finish. It's considered one of the top Las Vegas golf courses to play.
Keep in mind that during the fall (September and October) Las Vegas golf courses will be involved in a maintenance process called overseeding. They don’t all do it at the same time but course availability and quality may be limited for 2 to 3 weeks.
