The Bushmills Inn Hotel

Time to take a slower pace of life. Step back to a time steeped in charm. From inglenook turf fires to hayloft snugs, there’s something to find behind every door – a secret just waiting to be unlocked. The welcome is warm and the fire always lit. So pull up a chair, there’s always room for a friend. Like a fine malt, the Bushmills Inn Hotel has matured across the years. The original coach house and stables are thought to date back to 1608, the same year that the Bushmills distillery was granted the first ever licence to distil whiskey. Over time the Inn took on many guises, from boarding house to bicycle factory. Careful redevelopment however has reawakened the Inn.The oak-beamed Loft with its fireplace "snug" is the gateway to the Mill House on the banks of the River Bush. Here these spacious and creatively designed guest rooms, discretely accommodating modern technology, all have their own sitting room area, small dressing room and, of course, private bathrooms. Located only 90 minutes from Belfast, 3 hours from Dublin and a short drive to world famous courses like Port Stewart and Portrush.

Portmarnock Hotel and Golf Links

Welcome to this relaxed and luxurious hotel, located directly on Portmarnock's award-winning and magnificent 'Velvet Strand'. From the moment you arrive at the Portmarnock Hotel and its 138 wonderful rooms and suites, the friendly staff will take care of your every need. This leaves you free to walk on the beach, play on the Dublin golf links course, enjoy pampering in the beauty clinic or dine on delicious, locally sourced cuisine. This luxurious 4 star hotel, which is one of the top wedding hotels Dublin can offer, combines modern elegance with all the grandeur of a 19th century home, once owned by members of the Jameson Whiskey dynasty.

Ardglass Golf Club

Ardglass Golf Course is an 18 hole links course on the North-Eastern coast of Ireland with many stunning views and excellent unique golf holes. The course is just 50 minutes by car from Belfast and only 30 minutes from the world renowned Royal County Down Golf links in Newcastle. The course is a true test of golf, particularly on a windy day. The course hugs the coastline, with no fewer than 8 holes where the Irish Sea coastline comes into play. The Irish Sea is visible from all 18 tees and greens and on a clear day it is possible to see across the Irish Sea to the Isle of Man. Ardglass is really a course to savor with some outstanding holes. The 1st from the Medal Tee, the daunting 2nd, the unforgiving 11th and the picturesque Par 3 12th each of which requires a carry across the coastline or cliff tops of the Irish Sea.

"The view from the elevated 12th tee, with the backdrop of the Irish Sea and Mourne Mountains is to die for."

Royal Portrush Golf Club (Dunluce & Valley)

Royal Portrush Golf Club is home to one of the best and most challenging links golf courses in the world, the Dunluce Links and the hidden gem, the Valley Links. The only club in Ireland to have hosted The Open Championship, Royal Portrush is a members’ club which welcomes visitors all year round to face the challenges of its courses and to brave the testing conditions. The Dunluce Links at Royal Portrush Golf Club ranks amongst the world’s greatest courses. Voted Number 12 in the world by Golf Magazine, it is a masterpiece of golf course architecture. Unimaginable rough and testing greens, combined with the unpredictable weather of the roaring North Atlantic make this course an admirable test for even the most seasoned golf aficionado. The Valley lies between the East Strand and the Dunluce golf course in Portrush. As its name suggests, the course is situated between the huge sand hills immediately along the Atlantic shore and the higher ground on which the Championship course is laid out. That is not to say the holes of the course are routed over anything like plain, level lying land, far from it, as the Valley has more than its fair share of the humps, hollows and undulations to be found on any links worthy of the name.

Portmarnock Golf Club

Since its opening in 1894, Portmarnock is arguably the best Championship Course in Ireland. It has hosted all of Irelands major championships from the Irish Ladies Close to the Irish Open and also some of the world’s biggest events including the Canada Cup, now the World Cup, in 1960, won by Arnold Palmer and Sam Snead, and the Walker Cup in 1991. Amongst the winners of nineteen Irish Open Championships were Bobby Locke, Sam Torrance, Seve Ballesteros, Ian Woosnam, Bernhard Langer, Jose Maria Olazabal, Ben Crenshaw, Hubert Green, John O’Leary, Mark James, Ken Brown and Michael Campbell. Located 20 minutes from Dublin, this course is a must play. There is nothing man-made about this course - it's a natural links with water on three sides and at the mercy of the wind.

“There are no tricks or nasty surprises, only an honest, albeit searching test of shot making skills.”

-- Tom Watson, 5 Time Open Champion

Portstewart - Old and Strand Courses

Founded in 1894 and redesigned by Willie Park jnr in the 1920’s this championship links course received its greatest makeover with the purchase of land known as “Thistly Hollow” in 1986. This enabled the club to build a stunning new seven holes through towering dunes and fabulous and natural links land. Designed by Des Giffin the Strand Course is the jewel in the Portstewart portfolio. Portstewart has played host to many major Amateur and Professional Championships over the years including most recently The Amateur Championship in 2014, won by Bradley Neil of Scotland. Portstewart Golf Club is proud to offer 54 holes of golf spectacularly set on Ulster’s famous Causeway Coast with something for every golfer.
The Old Course - Along the rocky shore east of Portstewart where the Club was founded in 1894: par 64
Strand Course - A true championship links course the jewel in Portstewart’s crown: par 72
The Riverside - Includes 9 new holes running down to the river – a perfect day out for the society golfer.
