Sunset Ranch Golf & Country Club

5101 Upper Booth Rd. South, Kelowna, British Columbia Sunset Ranch Golf & Country Club

One of the best Kelowna Golf Courses for value and playability, Sunset Ranch Golf Course was chosen by Golf Digest in the 2009 version of “Golf Digest’s Best Places to Play”, and voted “Finalist: Kelowna’s Best Golf Course 2011″ in Okanagan Life magazine!

Sunset Ranch Golf & Country Club is therefore considered to be among the best courses in Okanagan golf. Conveniently located just minutes from the Kelowna BC International Airport, Sunset Ranch’s natural beauty is rivaled only by its exceptional course conditions and playability for golfers of all skill level.

A few golf tips for playing Sunset Ranch Golf and Country Club. Hole 1 - A testy par 5, dogleg right which is way out there at about 230 yards, so a big poke is required. Second shot, keep the ball down the left side of the fairway to avoid blockage from the sole fir tree that will hinder any wedge into the green. The alternative if you are right side, hit a chopped down 5 or 6 iron into the front of the green side bank, take the speed off, this can work with the correct speed.

A “must play” Sunset Ranch golf - Stunning vistas, rolling terrain, and the ever-present Scotty Creek contribute to the beauty and challenge of this Kelowna golf course. Come and enjoy Kelowna’s Best Value for Championship Golf! BCgolfguide.com has the best golf packages with Sunset Ranch golf course included in the rotation.

There is always something going on at the clubhouse at Sunset Ranch Golf & Country Club! The beautiful clubhouse consisting of 2 large patios, a 40 seat lounge, and a 120 seat dining room makes it the ideal location for your event. From Cocktail Parties to Buffet Dinners, the Sunset Ranch Food and Beverage Department can customize your event to add your own personal touch.

Thanks for organizing our golf trip to Kelowna this past April. Everything was right on schedule which played a great part in making this a fun trip. Enjoyed the Sunset Ranch course but found Kelowna Springs a bit basic. We will definitely use your services for another trip we are planning this fall and will select a few more challenging courses this time. Your firm is the only way to go... Great Job, Thanks again.

Great course starting with a moma bear and her 3 cubs on the way to first tee. No - I don't have pictures. The club employees handled that situation very well and no one was in any danger. The course itself was very nice and we had a great meal at the clubhouse after.

Well kept and very scenic golf course. Extremely friendly, helpful, and efficient staff who did everything that they advertised they would do. Great Clubhouse, Pro Shop and food. Is a must play course in Kelowna.

I played in the Steak or Beans Event this past May long weekend. BCgolfguide.com organized the group for their trip which included Black Mountain and staying at the Coast Capri - 35 guys in all. They needed another person to create even teams, hence i joined in for a very memorable weekend.

What this group does annually is play their first round (Blk Mnt) in order to create 18 teams of 2, White and Black. For Sunday's game the crew had a lot of fun. Buffett Breakfast served up compliments of Jeff and breakfast crew. T-time at 11:40am - Each 4-some has a white and black team. Stroke play and teams determined from like handicaps from Saturdays game. A hole is either won by a team for 2 points, or halved and each team gets 1 point. After the 9 teams come in, total points are tallyed and for 2010, Black won! Well i was on the white team with a career best score of 75.

Losers ate beans, winners had steak back at the Coast Capri. Did i mention winners dine on fine chinaware, while losers get paper cups, plastic spoons, newspaper table setting and dead flower arrangement. It was a blast.

The group welcomed me into the clan of "Slice Boys". Re: Photo attached - bar setup at the 18th greenside as the groups came in. Hats off to the staff at both Black Mountain (thanks Brice, Eric and Tony) and Sunset Ranch (Bruce, Scott, and Jeff) for serving up terrific food and having exceptionally friendly staff to make the experience most memorable for all. Watch for more photos coming from this group.
